Details
Some people say that rosé isn’t a serious drink, well this iconic producer is sure to change your opinion. This Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault blend is the epitome of great, serious rosé. Savoury herbaceousness balanced with pink grapefruit and undertones of rose petals dance on the nose with your first dip into the glass and from here it is all aces. On first sip the wine transports you to summer days in Provence surrounded by prosciutto and melon and the odd lavender bush. Good luck stopping at one glass and evidently, one bottle.
The story began in 1963 when sommelier turned vigneron Georges Delille purchased a promising vineyard bordered by the Mediterranean and the Gros-Cerveau mountains, east of Bandol. The first ten years were dedicated to reviving, renovating and replanting vineyards following the divine directives of local legend Lucien Peyraud (Domaine Tempier). Today Renald farms organically, hand-ploughing and green harvesting to ensure flavour concentration. All grapes are hand harvested and selected in the vineyard before entering the cellar. The detailed and patient approach is consistent in the underground cellar; gentle pressings and gravity-fed transfers. The result is very age-worthy, an average 20 years for reds and 10-15 years for whites and even the Rosé. Thankfully we’ve done a portion of the bottle-ageing for you, so 'patient cellaring' is optional on your end.

Pairing guide
Sourced from one of the Grand Cru vineyards of Provence, this beautiful rosé wine is an absolute treat for the senses, capturing the very essence of southern French sophistication. Gorgeously versatile with a wide array of delicious dishes, it is perhaps best served with delicate white fish, various seafood, and traditional recipes involving mussels, clams, and lobster. This wine will also match elegantly with chicken salads and chicken breast with garlic and herbs, and will also pair very well with salty ingredients such as feta, olives, and anchovies.
