Details
This delightful red blend is a mix of Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, all sourced from vines that are between 40 and 70 years old. The result is a light red, with the rustic notes of Carignan and plenty of earthy complexity driving home the story of this wine.

Clot de l'Oum is the hard work of two brothers, Eddy and Arthur Bertrand, who produce stunning wines from the heart of the Fenouillèdes region, in the foothills of the eastern Pyrenees. The brothers are generational farmers, growing up on the land, and now, as adults, are hoping to impart their experiences into honest bottles of wine. They are definitely artisanal in their approach and make only a few wines under the Clot de l'Oum label. The brothers own and operate a 10-hectare vineyard, which has been managed organically since 2003 and biodynamically since 2021. The vineyard, which has all the classic southern French varietals, is planted at an altitude between 400m and 600m above sea level and sits on schist and granitic soils. The beautiful thing about these wines is that the terroir can be found in each wine, and with a hands-off approach to winemaking, you can be transported to the Roussillon in one sip.

Pairing guide
Bright, pure, and full of southern French charm, Compagnie des Papillons is a delicate red blend with notes of red berries, wild herbs, and spice. Its freshness and silky texture make it perfect with Mediterranean dishes, think grilled lamb chops with rosemary, ratatouille, or tomato and olive tapenade. It’s also a beautiful match for charcuterie, roast chicken, or soft cheeses like brie and camembert. For something lighter, pair it with grilled vegetables, mushroom tarts, or even a herby lentil salad. A wine that captures the wild energy of the Roussillon hills with effortless grace.
