Details
What a gem. A delicate and creamy nose with a decadent and lacy texture. This traditional method bubbly from Limoux sings a very fine tune indeed. Freshly baked brioche, fresh cream, granny smith apple, lemon balm, a touch of salt and an elegant dry, chalky finish. There's lots going on, lots to talk about. This wine is complex and all tied together with a serious tone of sophistication.
Domaine Bouché is a labour of love, excellence, and legacy. It all started In 1920 when Abel Bouché began to farm one hectare in Champagne (that's small!). Over several generations of passionate lineage committed to growing quality grapes, the family decided to extend their involvement in the process and starts making wines too! Though Champagne may hold more fame, in search of more vines to make wine from, the family began a search for new terroir. They decided to settle in Digne d'Aval, a former village in the Limoux region of southwest France — the land of the very first sparkling wines in the world! Today the Bouché estate covers 40 hectares and the fourth generation is running the ship, three brothers, Guillaume, Valentin, and Paul. Their method is the traditional one, much like the world's finest fizz, making wines of immense finesse, elegance and refinement.

Pairing guide
Sparkling wines don’t come much more tempting than this delightful Crémant from Domaine Bouché, which highlights the sheer quality of the terroir the winery has access to. Crisp and bright, it’s a superb pairing for rustic-yet-flavourful dishes of fried fish, pasta, and rice - parmesan risotto, especially - and for grilled poultry, breaded pork, and spicy Thai and Vietnamese fare, too. We also loved this wine with desserts of apricots, apples, and pears, showing just how versatile this timeless fizz truly is.
