Details
Oh yes, this is something very fun. This fizz is made from Bianco d'Alessano grapes, a variety usually used in southern Italy to make vermouth. Con-Greg Grigoriou loves this variety as it keeps its acidity even during a hot Riverland summer, making fresh and frisky, low alcohol wines like this bubbly number. Yellow apples, preserved lemon and lemonade are the vibes here on what is a crisp yet juicy wine of instant appeal.

Delinquente means 'delinquent' in Italian, which is a ripper way to describe the work of Con-Greg Grigoriou. Grigoriou grew up in the SA among the vines, in a place of big skies and simple wines. But for this Delinquente label, he has broken plenty of rules with a range of playful natural wines that feel anything but same-same. From the hand-drawn labels (designed by Jason Koen, AKA 'Ankles') to the lean-in on casks, mini cans, and even a super aperitivo, Delinquente cuts different. Don't miss the delicious range of Pét Nats, juicy skin-contact whites and chillable reds, with these minimal-intervention, proudly Riverland-made wines, both delicious and super fun.

Pairing guide
One of the great things about the more recent wave of Pét Nats is just how smashable and easy the best wines are. Yes, there are some frothy wines out there, but drinks like this Delinquente are a delight, with a full antipasto and snacks platter as a natural choice. Arancini balls, empanadas, croquettes and other fried morsels and indeed anything with the oily/fried vibes is a huge winner here too. We absolutely love it with nachos and chips on that line as well, with the fresh tang of this Pét Nat able to stand up to a surprising smorgasbord of dishes.

Wine region
Riverland, Australia
Located in the heart of South Australia, the Riverland wine region is a tropical paradise for wine lovers. The region was formerly known for its traditional wines, particularly Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Grenache as well as its abundance of sunshine and beautiful scenery. In the last few years it's added a raft of Mediterranean varieties to its charm - think Fiano and Nero d'Avola. The warm climate and fertile soils of the Riverland make it a perfect place for grape growing, and the wines produced there are bursting with flavour. So why not explore the wines of the Riverland and discover a new favourite?
