Details
The Daisy Rosé will be your perfect accompaniment for the next picnic down at the local park along with all the standard fare of cheese and meats. This rosé has a nice, not so in your face, pale pink hue with turkish delight, musk and aromatic spicy notes balanced nicely by sweet red fruit, a hint of sugar and plenty of texture.

Origin: The spiritual home of rosé is Provence, in Southern France. Mainly Grown In: Rosé is found all over the world these days, but coastal regions are especially well suited to the growing of red grapes for rosé. Key Facts: Rosé is predominantly made from red grape varieties. The colour in wine is actually from pigments found in the skins of the grapes, so even red grapes have clear-coloured juice. The colour is then ‘bled’ out of the skins by infusing the skins into the juice. So for rosé, the wine simply spends far less time hanging out with the skins! Rarely you will find a rosé that is a combo of white and red grapes – they’re not ‘less good’, just less common. Rosé is super versatile – it suits any occasion. Best to always have a bottle in the fridge, just in case, you know… Wednesday happens or something. Fun Fact: Pale pink rosé has become the queen bee among consumers because it has built a reputation for being the lightest and driest. However, just because a rosé is darker in colour, does not mean it is sweet! And some rosés with more colour also have more character and flavour, and are just as refreshing.

Pairing guide
We can’t get enough of this beautiful pink wine from the team at Daisy, which offers a stunning array of soft fruit flavours alongside a bright and beautiful character - perfect for pairing with some of our favourite foods! This bottle is going to work especially well with salmon fillets, especially if given a fiery rub with some tandoori spices, as well as with cured pork products ranging from streaky bacon to chorizo and back again. Tuna steaks, chicken thighs, turkey salads, tomato-based pasta sauces, pesto rosso and all kinds of soft and salty cheeses will also hit the spot in style.

Wine region
South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
