Details
Perfectly pitched red, with soft textures and lush red fruit. There's plenty of rose petal and red plum here, with an attractive peppery finish. It's plush and round, and doesn't lack for depth. Wade into the berry flavours without getting bogged down by anything heavy or dark.
Origin: Burgundy, eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, Germany, USA, NZ, Italy, Australia, Chile. Key Facts: As a wine drinker, Pinot Noir is one smooth talking charmer; silken texture, soft tannins, juicy acidity and as light in colour as it is on its feet. Here, a little tickle of Shiraz rounds out the picture, with some extra fruit and a hint of peppery spice on the finish. Syrah, aka Shiraz, is known for its pepperiness, and this plays off nicely against the abundance of red fruit. Fun Fact: Pinot noir is one of the lighter red wines out there, which often makes it a good red for white wine lovers who are just starting to explore red wines.

Pairing guide
This stunning red wine is a masterclass in balance, bringing together a supple texture and loads of fresh berry fruit. Pinot Noir always lends a silkiness and a gluggability that’s impossible to resist. It’s a dead cert for pairing with duck and lamb, and it’s also going to go really well with any red meat and fruit combo. We also love this wine with portobello mushrooms, lentils and beans, and lamb shanks or chops in a rich gravy. Nice!

Wine region

Limestone Coast, Australia
The Limestone Coast is a large wine zone in the south-east of South Australia which has six wine regions that comprise the Limestone Coast; Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Padthaway, Robe and Wrattonbully. The Limestone Coast is in a unique position with cool winds and ocean waters throughout the summer months thanks to an oceanic event called the Bonney Upwelling which helps keep the vineyards cool during the hot summer months. The Limestone Coast produces a wide range of quality wines from classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in Coonawarra to cool-climate varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Robe and Mount Gambier. It is truly a versatile area and one of the backbones of the Australian wine industry.
