Details
Delicious value from the famous Provence village of Bandol. Here local winemaker Phillipe Barthes crafts a classic expression of this dry and refreshing yet serious Provence Rose style. Made from a blend of Grenache and Mourvedre, this is a beautiful salmon pink in colour. It's a classically styled rosé of the region, with alpine strawberry and raspberry fruit on the nose along with some floral hints. Firmly structured, with subtle hints liquorice, pepper and finishes with surprising grip.

The Bandol wine region, located near the coast east of Marseille and Cassis, is one of Provence's most internationally recognised wine regions. Built around the village of Bandol, the Bandol region is the heart of super high quality, dry rosé from this idyllic part of the world. The main grape here is Mourvedre, which produces dark, heavy reds with plenty of earth complexity. When expressed as rosé the wines are spicy and full, with plenty of power and stuffing, despite their freshness. Winemaker Phillipe Barthes is a generational winemaker - he learnt his trade at his mother's knee, the secrets of the soil and the grape passed down through generations. These wines are soulful and deep, and express not only the local terroir, but family knowledge, earned over the years. Delicious.

Pairing guide
Now we’re talking! This stunning Provence rosé brings everything we love about France’s premier pink wine region to the table, and as a result, it’s as food-friendly as they come. You’re going to want to pair this wine with white meat, fish, or shellfish dishes, especially those cooked with the classic herbs of the Mediterranean coast. Olives are always a winner with this wine, as are anchovies, sardines, classic salads like Nicoise, and simple rice dishes.
