Details
The ‘Omnia Nova’ is a spicy Barossan shiraz with more kick than a mule. This has some whole bunch and a mix of Eden Valley and Barossa Valley vineyards, with the result being a dark-fruited wine with plenty of pepper and spice and just a hint of freshness.

The Chaffey Bros are in fact brothers-in-law - Daniel Chaffey Hartwig and Theo Engela are the latest generation of the Chaffey family to ply their vinous trade in Australia. The name is based on their ancestors, the original Chaffey brothers, who were Canadian hydro engineers who arrived in Australia in 1886 and proceeded (along with a number of their descendants) to make an indelible mark on the Australian wine landscape. Their ethos is simple - present the vinous power, splendour and richness of the Barossa and Eden Valleys in a modern and digestible manner. So, their handmade, minimal-intervention wines come from individual parcels of low-yielding vineyards spread across the region. They are akin to wine-focussed parfumiers - discovering delicate aromatics, born from old vines, but mixed with blenders and storytellers. All in all, they're a more than welcome addition to the South Australian wine scene.

Pairing guide
Rich and deeply fruited, Omnia Nova shows classic Barossa Shiraz character with blackberry, plum, and a dusting of spice, all wrapped in a smooth, generous palate. It’s a perfect match for bold, savoury dishes—try it with chargrilled ribeye, slow-cooked beef brisket, or lamb shanks braised in red wine. Its plush texture also makes it great with mushroom stroganoff, smoky eggplant dishes, or a charcuterie board loaded with cured meats and aged cheddar. For a casual night in, pair it with gourmet burgers, BBQ spare ribs, or even a spicy sausage pizza. This is a Shiraz made to shine alongside hearty, flavour-packed food.
