Details
Outrageously fresh and fun, this bubbly number smells like a tropical beach holiday, filled with pink grapefruit, lemons, peaches and fruit punch aplenty. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz, it balances green notes with a hint of spice. Dry and crisp, it's grown up but still pretty wild... like your favourite aunt at a party.

Porongurup, in the deep south of Western Australia, is over 4 hours drive from Perth. It's from this remote outpost that high-quality wine is being made in small quantities by a handful of exciting producers... none more exuberant or boundary-pushing than Andries and Yoko Luscher-Mostert, the husband and wife team behind Brave New Wine. Brave New Wine was conceived one dark and stormy night as an antidote to Andries’ (ex) day job of working in commercial wineries. In his words, Andries is an old geezer who has been kicking about the Aussie wine industry for 25 years! His wife, creative genius and marketing legend Yoko, makes everything but the wine, including designing the labels. Whilst they don't (yet!) own their own vines, they seek out tiny volumes of high-quality fruit from vineyards in the Great Southern region of Western Australia and employ a minimal intervention approach to turning those grapes into delicious wine. They're a breath of fresh air for the wine scene in WA and Australia, and their wines are very delicious to boot!

Great Southern, Australia
Get ready to swirl, sniff, and sip your way through Western Australia's largest wine region - the Great Southern! Stretching from the coastal town of Albany to the scenic hamlet of Denmark to the south, this vast region is known for its world-class wine. Within the Great Southern, you will find five sub-regions, with Frankland River and Mount Barker being arguably the most noteworthy. But the Great Southern isn't just about the grapes - the area's family-owned wineries are passionate about their craft, using traditional techniques and the region's mineral-rich soils to create wine bursting with flavour. It is hard to pigeonhole the region in terms of grape varieties, Riesling does particularly well here as does Pinot Noir and Shiraz amongst others. So grab your corkscrew and get ready to explore the Great Southern - the ultimate destination for wine lovers!
