Details
A very light, easy going rosé, reminiscent of the wines of Provence. A mix of Grenache and Tempranillo, it is pale in colour, and has a bright fragrance of mandarin, white peach and unripe strawberry. There's a touch of jasmine flower in there as well. Very pretty. The palate is light and refreshing, with a keen line of acidity running all the way through it. Juicy, tangy and fresh.

This is a wine with a special story, created in Barcelona from local vineyards, in an attempt to create a wine that reflected not only the local terroir, but also the Barcelona lifestyle - fun, fresh, filled with light. Using old vine Grenache blended with Tempranillo from vineyards dotted around Penedes (30 minutes from Barcelona - a region better known for sparkling wine), the wine is unique, and the only style currently produced by the winery. A thoroughly modern wine, Born was co-created with consumers, with winemaker-guided tasting panels staged until they came to the right blend. There is a focus on community and fun rather than wine critics and awards – the team behind the brand live and work in Barcelona and wanted something to reflect the modern wine scene, without being too pretentious or stuffy about things. Rosé seemed the perfect medium for this! With one eye on the international wine market and the other on constantly refining their wines, the only way is up for this intrepid team!

Pairing guide
When it comes to high quality organic rosé winemaking, this brand really knows how to hit those high notes beautifully. This elegant pale pink wine has been taking the scene by storm, and its food-friendliness surely has something to do with it. We love this crisp and flavourful wine with seafood antipasti (especially octopus salad if you can get your hands on some), salade nicoise, Spring vegetable risotto, and anything combining spinach and ricotta. However, it’s a highly versatile wine, and is also going to match up very well with all your favourite light pasta dishes, tortilla, non-meat tacos, grilled veggies, and more.
