Details
Time certainly does fly when you're having fun and what better way than cracking this fresh and fruity SB? This is on the tropical spectrum, with pineapple and passionfruit and notes of basil and minerality and a grassy edge to the palate. So easy to drink, with a lovely soft midpalate weight and finishing with that ‘vim and vigour’ we love so much in Sauvignon Blanc!
Origin: Likely France, but unconfirmed. Possibly a wild grape variety that was indigenous to multiple areas in slightly different forms. Mainly Grown In: France, New Zealand, Italy, Chile, USA, South Africa and Australia Key Facts: If you’re a fan of a lime twist in your drinks, the smell of fresh-cut grass in the morning, and have been told you are intense or that "you sure stand out in a crowd", well, you’ve met your match. Sauvignon Blanc is an all-dials-at-max kind of grape, which means it's going to fist pump your senses with its intense (and sometimes pungent) aromas, mouth-watering freshness and a cleansing herbaceous character. As one of the most planted white grapes in the world, it’s no wonder it has claimed hearts in various styles; It can be lean and zesty when it’s from cooler climates and fuller and more tropical when grown in warmer ones. Fun Fact: Did you Know that Sauvignon Blanc is the third most planted white grape in the world? It has over 275,000 acres planted world wide.

It’s going to be a fabulous wine for pairing with simple white fish dishes, chicken served with a citrus dressing, green salads and all kinds of green vegetable dishes. Asparagus with goat’s cheese, marinated artichokes, kale and bean salads, broccoli tossed with sesame and soy and roast turkey recipes will all hit the spot in style.

South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
