Details
What a pristine Chardonnay we have here! It's an airy wine, with a dance of flavour that moves from light citrus and unripe nectarine to dip into buttered bread and then racy crisp acidity. A wine that feels handmade, caressed and so very pure, it's Chardonnay for a world that really deserves some refreshing wines.

Unless you’ve been living under a hefty rock for the past ten years, you can’t have escaped the hype and excitement surrounding the Tasmanian wine scene. Once seen as something of a backwater, Tasmania has risen through the ranks to be - correctly - identified as one of the food and wine capitals of the world in the 21st century, and it’s all thanks to amazing, diligent, hard-working wineries like Beautiful Isle. With their vibrant, eye-catching labels (based on the traditional Tazzie ‘Apple Isle’ posters of yesteryear) and an incredible array of flavours and aromas, Beautiful Isle has garnered something of a cult following. It isn’t hard to understand why. This winery is completely dedicated to showing the world just why Tasmania’s reputation is rocketing in the way it is. Beautiful Isle wines are accessible, uncomplicated and fun to drink… yet they pack in the kinds of flavours and characteristics that other wineries around the world would give their left arm for.

Pairing guide
This beautiful and wonderfully pure Chardonnay really epitomises the beauty of great Tasmanian wines and we love it. It offers some seriously tempting food pairing options. Brilliant with roast ham and pickles, delicious with creamy chicken pasta and rice dishes, and especially good with raclette, fondue and other alpine cheese-and-potato-based treats, this is a wine for comforting homemade indulgences. It’s also going to be great with roast and confit duck dishes, barbecued freshwater and sea fish and grilled pork sausages. What’s not to love?

Wine region
Tamar Valley, Australia
The Tamar Valley, located on the banks that run along the Tamar river on the northern coast of Tasmania, is one of Tasmania’s oldest wine-growing areas. Its cool climate moderated by the river makes it perfect for growing high-quality grapes and producing premium wines. In particular, the region has built a very high reputation for its Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sparkling wines which are giving some of the best of Burgundy and Champagne a run for their money. The secret is out, a region that was once humbly flying under the radar is now producing wines that are coveted by wine lovers all around the world.
