Details
Beautiful golden colour in the glass, this just looks so inviting! The nose is really expressive, with cooked lemon, baked bread and some almond. There are hints of white flowers and coconut as well. It's a serious sparkling wine - perfectly balanced with final flavours of brioche and fresh butter.

If you had to rattle off a list of the world’s greatest wine regions from the top of your head, the vast majority of people would probably stick Burgundy either in prime position, or somewhere very close to it. There'ss a good reason for this - as one of France’s most iconic and widely-loved wine locales, Burgundy has had centuries to show off its excellence and influence to the rest of the world, and takes its reputation for top-notch wine very, very seriously. Baron Jacques is a prime example - here is a family-owned Maison producing jaw-dropping sparkling wines, each made using the traditional method, and each proudly flying the flag for the Burgundy region. Baron Jacques’ Maison situated right in the heart of Burgundy, and follows in the grand footsteps of the Cremant de Bourgogne winemaking style with real panache. Never wavering from the highest standards, and with access to incredible vineyards with the perfect mineral balance to really bring out those finer features in the grapes, the family continues to seriously impress with each and every vintage. Santé to Burgundy!

Pairing guide
Luxurious, opulent, and a little bit glamorous, Blanc de Blancs is a real treat of a sparkling white wine, made solely from Chardonnay grapes. Like most fizz, this bottle is really versatile when it comes to food pairing, but it matches up especially well with fish and seafood dishes. Raw oysters and caviar are always at the top of the list for Blanc de Blancs food pairings, but we reckon it’s every bit as good with smoked salmon, and even a big portion of fish and chips. Calamari is also a safe bet, as is seafood pasta like lobster ravioli. Vegetarians will love this wine with deep fried zucchini and other veggies, and it’s also good with crispy fried tofu, too!

Wine region
Burgundy, France
Burgundy is located east between Paris and the Swiss border and is known for producing some of the finest and most sought-after wines (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) in the world. The region can be divided into the following sub-regions from north to south: Chablis, Côte d'Or, Côte Chalonnaise, and Mâconnais, with parts Beaujolais to the south now under consideration. Chablis is located north of the Côte d'Or and is known for its crisp, dry white wines made from Chardonnay, made without the influence of oak. Some of the best domaines in Chablis include William Fèvre and Christian Moreau. The Côte d'Or is the heart of the Burgundy wine region and is divided into two main areas: the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. The Côte de Nuits is known for its red wines, while the Côte de Beaune is known for its white wines. The best domaines in the Côte d'Or include Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Georges Roumier! Mâconnais and often overlooked Côte Chalonnaise produces red and white wines. Some of the best domaines in these regions include Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils and Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard.
