Details
The Baron D’Arignac range is all about classic bistro wines that you can drink any time of the day. The rouge is a blend of Tempranillo and Grenache, and while Tempranillo may not be your classic French wine, it is made in a fruit-forward style with a nice layer of spice and grip.
Origin: Rioja, in central-northern Spain. Mainly Grown In: All over Spain, Portugal, Argentina, and McLaren Vale and NE Victoria in Australia. Key Facts: Imagine taking the classic variety Tempranillo and darkening the fruit spectrum and polishing off some of the rustic edges. Making it whip smart, tightening things up and making it into a really flashy young thing? That's essentially what these blends are - they have the soul of Tempranillo, but they set off on a different path, a path that is equally delicious, just a little bit different. Loads of spicy, berry-fruit muskiness tied up with mouth-filling tannins. Sometimes richer, sometimes lighter, always good drinking. Fun Fact: Tempranillo is as Spanish as bulls, tapas and siestas. But it's spreading its wings (horns?) these days and can be found in our own backyard.

Pairing guide
Smooth and approachable with juicy red berries, soft spice, and gentle tannins, Baron D’Arignac Tempranillo Blend is made for relaxed dining. Pair it with grilled lamb chops, roast chicken, or tapas classics like chorizo and patatas bravas. It also works wonderfully with pizza, pasta in tomato-based sauces, or a hearty mushroom stew. For something lighter, try it with manchego cheese, charcuterie, or a chickpea and roasted vegetable salad. Easygoing and versatile, it’s the kind of red that makes everyday meals feel that little bit more special.
