Details
The Baron D’Arignac range is all about classic bistro wines that you can drink any time of the day. This is a blend of Airén and Sauvignon Blanc, with the end result being a dry white highlighted by zesty lemon notes and a touch of green apple.

Origin: Somewhere in the Spanish wilderness! Mainly Grown In: Led by the huge plantings all across Spain - it is more common than Tempranillo! Key Facts: Airén is Spain’s most planted white grape variety, and at one stage was actually the most planted grape in the world! Slowly fading from favour as Spain moves towards focussing on red wine production, the remaining vines are split in usage between wine and brandy production. A fine, zesty white wine, it is focussed on citrus and acid, and tends to avoid oak. With a heavy tropical edge to the tangy fruit, it is sometimes blended with Sauvignon Blanc, but it’s its own beast, and a real Spanish specialty! Fun Fact: Pronounced “air-wren”. Easy!

Light, fresh, and subtly floral, Baron D’Arignac Airén Blend offers gentle citrus and orchard fruit notes with a crisp, clean finish. It’s an easy match for grilled white fish, seafood paella, or roast chicken with lemon and herbs. It also works beautifully with fresh salads, goat cheese, or Mediterranean mezze plates with hummus, olives, and pita bread. For a simple midweek treat, pair it with sushi, vegetable stir-fry, or a classic prawn cocktail. Chill well for maximum refreshment.
