Details
Petite Rosa is a vibrant Rosé made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Petit Verdot. The latter grape no doubt contributes aromas of fresh strawberries and their leaves, along with rhubarb and gooseberry. It's refreshing and tangy and light.

Origin: The spiritual home of rosé is Provence, in Southern France. Mainly Grown In: Rosé is found all over the world these days, but coastal regions are especially well suited to the growing of red grapes for rosé. Key Facts: Rosé is predominantly made from red grape varieties. The colour in wine comes from the pigment found in the skins of the grapes, so even red grapes have clear-coloured juice. The colour is then ‘bled’ out of the skins by infusing the skins into the juice. So for rosé, the wine simply spends far less time hanging out with the skins! Rarely you will find a rosé that is a combo of white and red grapes – they’re not ‘less good’, just less common. Rosé is super versatile – it suits any occasion. Best to always have a bottle in the fridge, just in case, you know… Wednesday happens or something. Fun Fact: Some people think that the hue of the pink in a rose indicates how dry the wine will be — often thinking that darker hues mean more sweet — but this is false. The depth of the hue is actually a reflection of how long the wine spent macerating on the skins.

Pairing guide
Yet another wonderful release from Atkins Farm, this vibrant rosé makes packs in loads of soft fruit flavours, making it an ideal wine for bringing out on sunny days when dining al fresco. Barbecued pork or chicken, seafood tossed in garlic, ginger and chilli, salmon or tuna salads and all kinds of salty ingredients like halloumi, olives, feta and capers will work very nicely here. It’s also going to be great with Middle Eastern-style salads, Moroccan chicken tagines, prawn curries and charcuterie. Delicious!

Wine region
South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
