Details
What a classy little number! The nose is lively, citrussy and layered with notes of brioche and toast. Delicate and light-bodied, the palate is both refreshing and refined. It has plenty of energy too, with a lively line of fresh lemon, almonds and crunchy green apple. Truly exceptional value. Don't share the price with your mates, this organic and vegan bottle tastes at least twice its price!
The Penedès region, famously adjoining the outer neighbourhoods of Barcelona, is best known for its production of Cava, the national Spanish sparkling wine. Although not the only locale for Cava, it is by far the most prestigious. Arts de Luna is on the western outskirts of the region, a small winery, working organically to produce a wonderful range of wines. Since their creation in 2010, the brand has come along in leaps and bounds. Not only are they working with six different Cava grape varieties (most wineries only use three), but their vineyards are all certified organic, lending the wines extra succulence, and ensuring a sustainable future for the land. They age their wines for at least a year prior to release, harmonising the wines, and adding extra layers of flavour.

Pairing guide
This organic Cava has all the dryness and distinction of a top-quality Spanish fizz, and it’s really exciting to see just how far this timeless wine style has come in recent years. We love this wine served with rice dishes - it will work with a vegetable or seafood paella perfectly, and is also fantastic with a biryani or pilaf. Fried fish and shellfish is a winning combination with this wine, and salads of white asparagus and other indulgent ingredients will also work wonders on the palate!

Located just south of the vibrant city of Barcelona, Penedès is a paradise for wine lovers who crave a diverse array of red, white, and sparkling wines. Whether you're in the mood for a crisp and refreshing Xarel-lo white or a bold and fruity Garnacha red, Penedès has something to suit every taste. But the region isn't just known for its still wines - it's also home to the world-famous Cava sparkling wine, a bubbly treat that's guaranteed to make any celebration extra special.
