Details
A beguiling wine - smells like Pinot Gris, or maybe that Spanish wonder Albarino. There's plenty of pear, quince, peach and grapefruit, plus a hint of rose petal. It has a ripe fruit character, but it's light and bright on the palate, with fresh acidity and a lingering zestiness on the finish.

Andrew Peace wines has always been a family affair. From humble beginnings in the 1960s as a small vineyard on the banks of the Murray river, to building a winery in 1995, to now being one of the countries most successful wine operations! Using not only grapes grown on site and with other estate vineyards, but also utilising a selection of local growers, 'AP' Wines releases a great range of styles and varieties every year. Andrew is one of the few Australian vignerons to grow Zweigelt, having imported some from an Austrian friend. After several years of strict quarantine in Australia, the seeds were finally planted, and in turn have now produced one of the very first Zweigelt wines in Australia. This is representative of the innovation and excitement that this winery generates, and the wine itself is a great standard bearer for the quality of the wines.

Pairing guide
We’re delighted that Chenin Blanc has picked itself up from the doldrums, shaken off a less-than-favourable reputation, and is back on quality wine menus with the best of them once more. This bottle from Andrew Peace is an easy one to love - it’s an excellent choice for pairing with white meat and cream sauce dishes, and loves being paired with cream and fish combos, too. Vegetable dishes and most salads will hit the right spot, as will rich and pungent cheeses and sweet ‘n’ sour Chinese favourites.
