Details
Plush and hearty, this is a wonderfully vibrant Malbec. Loads of ripe mulberry and plum upfront, and leads into violet, vanilla and some charred oak notes. It is fleshy and full bodied, but never over the top. The tannin holds the wine together but doesn't dominate. Well balanced and well oiled.

The wine brand of Finca Las Moras is responsible for a wide range of wines from across Argentina - many different varieties, vineyards and styles. A really diverse collection of wines, with one thing in common - a desire to produce high quality wines that bear the stamp not only of Argentina, but of the cool-climate region of San Juan. Established in 1993, and utilising the incredible knowledge of Aussie viticultural legend Richard Smart, Finca Las Moras rapidly became one of the leading producers of high-quality wines in the region. Today, the company owns over 1,125 hectares of vineyards! From this they produce a number of different labels, including Alma Mora. For Alma Mora, the focus is on capturing the vivid, fruity taste of the easy drinking wines of San Juan. Sure, the vineyards are managed sustainably, and everything is top drawer, but the wines have no pretension or artifice. It's all about the end product, not the airs and graces behind the scenes. Which just so happens to be the kind of wines we love.
