Details
From a part of Italy that is much more well known for Prosecco, this is a much more serious offering. Crafted from Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) and Chardonnay, from the Veneto region, blended together to make a dry, lacy style of Rosé sparkling. Dry and fully sparkling on the palate, it is Long and spicy with lots of peach and apricot notes. Exquisite stuff.
With vineyards in four regions in Italy, that include the hills and mountains of Trentino Alto-Adige to the gentle valley and rivers of Veneto, the estate of Albino Armani has certainly grown in size from it’s humble beginnings from late 1607. Development of the estate and the weight of centuries on his shoulders, Albino Rocca considers the traditions of his family estate as an education in respect, method and tenacity. With a firm belief that the combination of land, soil and grapes is the most beautiful work that can be done. Respect for the land and for traditions was born out of his childhood that saw him spend time with his father in the vineyards and amongst the barrels in the winery. He has been able to grow the estates holdings into neighbouring regions where his continued respect for the land and traditions have been important in this progression. The philosophy is to respect the land, the fruit in a natural way without looking for shortcuts in either vineyard or winery.

Pairing guide
What could be better with your al fresco lunch than this lightly sparkling rosé? It’s a real treat to enjoy alongside almost any light lunch or dinner you could think of, and that bright acidity and blushing fruit flavour make it a real food-friendly favourite. Try this tasty wine with a creamy risotto, chicken schnitzel (actually, any fried chicken in breadcrumbs dish is going to be amazing with this sparkler), or glazed barbecue ribs, and you’ll be in gourmet heaven in no time at all. It’s also going to be delicious with vegetarian fritters, falafel, and shawarma… so feel free to get experimental with your flavours in the kitchen!
