Details
Do you like apples? If you do, then you're in luck. This lovely white wine is packed full of ripe notes of green and red apples and orchard fruit. This is zesty and crisp, with a lovely tart freshness and waves of flavour.

Origin: Italy. Mainly Grown In: Italy, and France where it goes by the name Ugni Blanc. Key Facts: Trebbiano is something of a workhorse grape variety and is integral to wine production all over Italy. Confusingly the name 'Trebbiano' is attributed to a multitude of grape varieties, some of which are not even related to Trebbiano itself; 'Trebbiano di Lugana' or '...di Soave', are good examples. Given the slew of pseudonyms that Trebbiano goes by, it is quite difficult to pinpoint the exact characteristics of this grape variety and is perhaps better described according to which part of Italy a given Trebbiano wine comes from. In France, it is believed that Trebbiano and Ugni Blanc are one in the same. Here it is mostly used for the production of Cognac, however, it has the ability to produce fairly green wines, with lots of freshness, particularly when blended with Colombard. Trebbiano is a versatile variety, the best examples we have tasted are usually fresh, citrus-driven easy-drinking styles of wine. Fun Fact: Trebbiano is a permitted grape variety in almost one-third of Italy's DOC appellations!

Pairing guide
Few white wines hit the spot at lunch time quite like a well-crafted Trebbiano, and this beautiful release is an absolute winner. It’s the ideal pairing for vegetarian pasta dishes featuring plenty of grated parmesan or pecorino, simple white fish recipes, and grilled chicken breasts with basil and mozzarella. Anchovies and other oily fish will work well, and it’s also great with seafood risotto, lemon and pork combos, and green salads too.

Wine region
Tuscany, Italy
Tuscany is a region located in central Italy known for its rolling hills, beautiful countryside, and rich cultural and artistic heritage. But for us, it’s synonymous with wine, mainly those of Chianti. The Tuscany wine region is located in central Italy and is known for producing formidable red wines made from grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The area is home to several famous wine regions, including Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which are known for producing some of Italy's most highly regarded wines. Notable producers include Antinori for their legendary Chianti and Tenuta San Guido for their fabled Sassicaia label.
