Details
Crafted using sustainable malt and a blend of Motueka, Nectaron and Simcoe hops from NZ, this trans-Tasman delight has just the right amount of hoppy, piny aromatic power, yet with this delicious tropical fruit punch to carry things off nicely. Delightfully drinkable, yet with plenty of punch, this is beer for right now.
Dave Padden first fell in love with hop-forward craft beers while travelling through the US in the early 2000s. Finally, in a moment of inspiration in 2011, he decided to pack in his sales and marketing life and trade it to become a brewer, setting up Akasha in the Sydney inner-west suburb of Five Dock in 2015. Akasha quickly scored a reputation for excellence through the bar and pub scene, with so many Sydneysiders falling in love with the punchy IPAs and Pale Ales. Akasha quickly went from a keg-only brewery, to then canning their own beers, and eventually taking their brews nationally. IPA and Pale Ale continues to be king here, but with a range of excellent barrel-aged beers now adding an extra layer to this clever brewery

Pairing guide
While we might be diehard wine lovers at Good Pair Days, we’ve got a lot of love for this crisp and hoppy pale ale from Akasha Brewing. When it comes to food pairing, we reckon this beer is going to match up beautifully with roast game birds - especially duck, guinea fowl and quail - and with classic meat pies with gravy and mashed potatoes. Sausages, homemade burgers, and especially spicy Indian and Thai curries would also make for ideal matches.

These regions are a wine lover's dream, producing a diverse range of wines that cover a wide range of styles.
