Story
Terella means 'little earth', a perfect name for one of the only Australian breweries that is 100% off-grid.
The sustainable story doesn't stop there. The water for the beer comes via an ingenious collab with a vertical farming business. The wastewater is fed to the brewery for filtration and then beer creation. It goes both ways, too, with carbon dioxide (a by-product of fermentation) fed back into the farm to supercharge the growth.
Based in the green Sunshine Coast hinterland at North Arm, Terella's neighbours are cattle farms and an equestrian centre. This rural setting, with big, welcome expanses of backyard footy-friendly lawn, is a great escape from the tourist-heavy beaches of the Sunny Coast. There's an on-site animal farm, complete with a petting zoo, to keep small people happy, plus food trucks, live music, and delicious, German-inspired beer for smiles on adult dials.
You can also peek inside the brewery to see how they take their craft deadly seriously, with traditional Germanic vertical fermenters and oak barrels for styles that venture beyond the norm. The brewery's cleverness shines through in these technically perfect beers, too, with a range that includes hits from Lager to Pale Ale, a unique Mango XPA, a hazy IPA, and a suite of ginger beer and hard lemonade.
This ginger beer is such an easy drink. Made at Terella using ginger from the Sunshine Coast this has a delicious golden gingery brew, with just enough tang countered with a just right sweetness. Best drunk neat or use as the backbone of a Moscow Mule!

PAIRING GUIDE
Zingy, zesty, and just the right amount of wild—Terella Brewing's 'Mad Dog' Ginger Beer is the kind of drink that refuses to sit quietly in the corner. With its fiery kick of fresh ginger and refreshing citrusy tang, it’s a natural wingman for bold, flavourful dishes. Think crispy Korean fried chicken, spicy prawn tacos, or even sticky glazed pork ribs. The ginger heat cuts through rich, savoury bites like a pro, while the bubbles keep everything light and lively.
