Story

Created by the team behind Bibendum, one of Australia's hotshot premium wine and drinks distributors, Midnight Mixers is designed to take the world of mixers up a few notches.

From the start, this is about marrying craft spirits to a proper tonic-based mixer. Natural quinine is the backbone of these Australian-made drinks, plus an assortment of local botanicals and ingredients to give flavour and interest. Sweetness levels are at the 'just right' point, which is so very important to really make your gin, vodka or other distilled delight really shine.

Even the packaging on these impressive mixers comes with a proper sense of sustainability, from the lightweight, Australian-made cans to the recycled cardboard boxes and biodegradable packing tape.

The Extra Dry Tonic takes the same recipe as the 'Classic Dry Tonic' but throttled down the sweetness to make it a little less overt. Made using lemon and blood orange essences over that distinct quinine tang, it's a more taut style of tonic that would be perfect for more delicate craft spirits.

There is no two ways about it - this is a mixer made to be mixed, with your favourite gin its partner of choice. Thanks to the lower sweetness, it will give extra clarity to a great spirit, making it a bar essential. But what about a great gin and tonic? Well, for G & T pairings, we like a little hint of herbs and a generous flavour underneath. Salads with cheese, pickled vegetables, and richer cheese with a little tang (hello Stilton).
