Story
Arguably one of the most pivotal non-alcoholic breweries to be launched in Australia, Heaps Normal have, in just a few years, redefined what beer can taste like sans alcohol.
What's even wilder is that Heaps Normal launched in July 2020, smack bang in the middle of the wild COVID-19 lockdown era that destroyed so many other brands. At the time, there were only a few non-alc beer options available, and it was a rarer sight to see one at your local bar and pub.
Our co-founders, pro surfer Jordy Smith, beer-brander Andy Miller and brewer Ben Holdstock set out to take the best bits of Aussie drinking culture and package them into great-tasting beers that they believe have 'helped to normalise new ways to drink and play'.
Poking fun at the wellness industry and yoga retreats that aim to drain your bank account while you look for inner peace, Third IPA is actually the fourth release for Heaps Normal, and it is easily the most aromatic. It's a fragrant non-alcoholic beer that leans into the pine, citrus and gentle malt flavours that India Pale Ale styles are known for, complete with hoppy bitterness to finish. Well done Heaps Normal (again)!
