Details
When the weather is warm enough to strip back the layers, it is time to reach into the shelf and pull this Sauvingon Blanc blend out and chuck it straight into the fridge. Tropical fruit, a touch of citrus and nice zesty finish, as well as being delightfully gluggable.
Origin: Likely France, but unconfirmed. Possibly a wild grape variety that was indigenous to multiple areas in slightly different forms. Mainly Grown In: France, New Zealand, Italy, Chile, USA, South Africa, and Australia. Key Facts: If you’re a fan of a lime twist in your drinks, the smell of fresh-cut grass in the morning, and have been told you are intense or that "you sure stand out in a crowd" you’ve met your match. Sauvignon Blanc is an all-dials-at-max kind of grape, which means it's going to fist pump your senses with its intense (and sometimes pungent) aromas, mouth-watering freshness and cleansing herbaceous character. As one of the most planted white grapes in the world, it’s no wonder it has claimed hearts in various styles; It can be lean and zesty when it’s from cooler climates and fuller and more tropical when grown in warmer ones. Fun Fact: Did you know that Sauvignon Blanc is the third most planted white grape in the world? It has over 275,000 acres planted world wide.

Pairing guide
We love working with Delaude and their growing range of wines, like their newest masterpiece, the Voile d'été range. We loved this wine with grilled oily fish like mackerel and sardines, but it’s equally good with grilled seafood, barbecued chicken, green salads and dishes that shine a spotlight on chickpeas and other pulses. Chilled tomato soups, pesto pasta and polenta dishes will also be excellent, and it’s also great with chargrilled squid, veggie burgers and green vegetables like peas and artichokes.
