Details
This Chardy kicks off with green apple and tropical fruit, with zesty orange peel notes, and a hint of white flowers. Its creamy, silky texture comes from partial French oak ageing, and on the palate its bright, energetic, and seriously focused. It’s got tension, intensity, and a finish that just won’t quit! Not your average Chardonnay!

Tucked away in the foothills of the Andes, Viña Cobos isn’t just another fancy winery with great views (though, yes, the views are ridiculous). This is the place where Malbec got its groove back. Founded in 1998 by Paul Hobbs - aka the Indiana Jones of winemaking - Viña Cobos has been quietly (and now very loudly) showing the world what Mendoza’s soil can really do. Hobbs took one look at Argentina’s rugged landscape and thought, “Yep, this is where magic happens.” Fast-forward a couple of decades and now Viña Cobos is leading the global pack when it comes to luxury Malbec. Not bad for a guy from upstate New York who started out on a family apple farm. What makes Viña Cobos stand out? Obsessive attention to detail, for one. We’re talking night harvesting by hand, the use of new French oak barrels every year, and more vineyard mapping than a NASA mission. Each vine is treated like royalty - fed, pruned, and pampered to bring out the absolute best in every grape. It’s not just winemaking; it’s a love letter to the land. And while the team is armed with cutting-edge tech and precision viticulture, the vibe is still all about respect: for nature, for the people who work the land, and for the grape itself. The result? Wines that are powerful yet graceful, super serious stuff!

Pairing guide
This Chardonnay is a versatile food lover’s dream. Its tropical fruit and citrus zing make it perfect with grilled lemon-herb chicken or a buttery white fish like Chilean sea bass with mango salsa. Creamy pasta dishes? Yes please - try it with a tagliatelle tossed in a lemony ricotta sauce and fresh peas. And for a vegan twist, go for roasted cauliflower steaks with a cashew cream and charred corn salsa - it plays beautifully off the wine’s creamy texture and bright acidity. Basically, if it’s fresh, flavourful, and has a bit of richness, this Chardonnay is your go to pairing.
