Details
Pale and delicate in the glass, this rosé floats out soft aromas of rose petals and fresh red berries. On the palate it’s crisp, airy, and quietly elegant - light in body but full of charm, and finishing with a gentle, refreshing snap.

Villa Iulia is the realisation of Antonio Florencio-Nieto’s long-held dream, a dream shaped over twelve years, sixteen harvests, and work across eight countries. From Spain to New Zealand, Austria to Australia, Antonio gathered perspectives, techniques, and stories that eventually led him home with a clear vision: to make wines that are honest, expressive, and deeply connected to their land. His journey reads like a winemaker’s grand tour, and Villa Iulia is its brilliant culmination. The vineyards lie in the province of Cuenca, scattered between Mota del Cuervo, Los Hinojosos, and Monreal del Llano. Farmed ecologically, these plots rest on clay-calcareous soils at 680 metres of altitude - cool enough to retain freshness, warm enough to ripen fruit gently. The vines average around 25 years of age, with traditional bush-trained plants in the older parcels and trellised young vines pruned short for precision. It’s a place where sunlight, soil, and elevation work in quiet harmony, giving Antonio exactly the raw material he needs to craft wines with lift, clarity, and a graceful sense of place.

Pairing guide
This rosé sings with dishes that are fresh, simple, and a touch summery. Pair it with seared prawns tossed in lemon and smoked paprika, a classic salade niçoise, or grilled zucchini layered with basil and feta. Its delicate red-berry notes also shine alongside a tomato and burrata tart or a chilled watermelon-and-mint salad on warm days. For a lovely vegan pairing, try roasted red-pepper couscous with herbs, or a citrusy quinoa salad with shaved fennel - the wine’s crisp, floral lift brings everything together with effortless charm.
