Details
Who doesn’t love a good French rosé?!? With Vaucluse, you have a rosé sourced from Grenache that fits the bill. This is pale pink in the glass with a good amount of fruit on the nose with some berries and watermelon, balanced by some dried herbs and crisp acidity.

The French wine scene can be somewhat of a minefield at times, all we really want is a supplier that makes wines from all across the country while still displaying regional and sub-regional typicity.. Simple right?!? Well, enter Maison Johanès Boubée which is a winery that has succeeded in the French landscape, while relatively unknown outside its borders. The winery has access to all the goodies around the country and aside from an impressive winemaking team, it also has employed sommeliers to taste each wine to confirm it meets that all important terroir feel of each region. The winery is a nod to the old-school way, where you didn’t need to boast a fancy label to sell a bottle of wine and the juice inside is the most important part. We have tasted through a large range of their wines and are very impressed with the overall quality in each bottle. The Vaucluse range is their focus on the Rhone and Languedoc regions with Chardonnay and Grenache featuring in their wines.

Pairing guide
The Provence region of France is beloved worldwide for the quality of its rosé wines, and this elegant bottle from Vaucluse is a fabulous example of what this wonderful winery does best. It’s a beautiful wine for pairing with some seriously tasty food, and purists will insist on bringing it together with Provence rosé classics like fish stews and soups, grilled salmon and trout almondine, and veal with a fragrant sauce. However, we’d suggest it’s every bit as good with a tabbouleh salad, garlic and chilli prawns, or even a pork or vegetable katsu curry.
