Details
This super easy-drinking Prosecco is alive with notes of bruised apple and pear orchard fruit on the nose, combining effortlessly with attractive peachy aromas and some green fruit. A wonderful vein of saline acidity weaves itself through the palate here toward a fresh, nettly finish.
Let's face it, Veneto is a vast hotbed of stunning rolling hills and steep plantings that contribute to arguably the most successful sparkling wine style in the world: Prosecco. In the region’s capital, you will find no shortage of Prosecco bars dedicated to Italy’s favourite sparkler in a range of styles, from bone dry, to semi-sweet, and even ‘dolce’, or dessert styles. As you know, Venice is also super famous for its romantic gondola rides through its labyrinth of canals. But those canals were once famous for something else; Vaporetto take their name from the “little steamer” boats that historically used to run these canals and these guys firmly have their roots in northeast Italy, working with a number of high-quality growers, sourcing some of the purest, finest fruit around which isn’t hard to see through the lens of their quite brilliant ‘No.8’ Cuvée which it has to be said, is exemplary.

Pairing guide
Crisp, elegant and yet with plenty of rustic charm, this Prosecco from Vaporetto is exactly the kind of wine we want plenty of when the holiday season rolls around. It’s going to be excellent with all the vegan and vegetarian canapes, nibbles and finger foods that typify this time of year - especially if they include spring rolls, veggie filo pastries, or momos and other dumplings - and will also be delicious with spiced deep-fried vegetables, crispy noodles and tofu, and homemade veggie fritters.
