Details
Coulston's homage to Corsica certainly does not disappoint. This wine is citrus-driven, with a lovely red character, think cranberry, pomegranate and subtle raspberry and you'd be on the right track. This is taut, but fleshy at the same time. Yummy!
The aptly named Two Rivers of Marlborough in New Zealand have been making some pretty awesome wine for some time now and have been on our radar for a while. Founder David Coulston has cut his teeth all over Europe (he worked over 25 harvests overseas) and was particularly taken away with Corsica, where he discovered a deep love for the production of quality rosé wine, which formed the basis and the inspiration for his stunning 'Isle of Beauty' pink wine, which takes its name from the French island. Marlborough is New Zealand's premier wine-growing region and is principally formed by Wairau and Awatere valleys. Both of these are serviced by their own rivers, hence, 'Two Rivers'. Coulston's family have farmed in Marlborough for five generations, so it is safe to say that this man has Marlborough in his blood. The team is progressive and has recently experimented with concrete egg fermentations, large-format oak, and amphoras. These guys are well worth a try!

Pairing guide
Gorgeously expressive and more than a little indulgent, this rosé is a spectacular wine to serve alongside delicious homemade dishes featuring fish and seafood. Salmon and cod dishes will work especially well, and it’s also excellent with fish or chicken risotto, buttery pasta dishes, gnocchi with sage and white lasagna. We loved it with fish tacos (extra guacamole is a must!) and it’s also going to be superb with Thai green curry or a paneer masala.

Wine region

Marlborough, New Zealand
Marlborough is by far and away the jewel in New Zealand's winemaking crown. Situated at the northern tip of the South Island, Marlborough is home to one of the world's most celebrated and popular styles of wine: Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The region surmises the natural beauty that New Zealand boasts and is now home to over 500 wine producers of varying sizes, from epic, large-scale operations to small, boutique craft producers. Naturally, the region is celebrated for its zesty, pungent styles of Sauvignon Blanc, but the wine train doesn't stop there. Marlborough is also celebrated for very high-quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (the latter being some of the most underrated wines in the region). You will also find smaller pockets of Viognier, Riesling and Pinot Gris planted here. Marlborough represents almost 75% of all wine produced in New Zealand.
