Details
This Falanghina blend opens with juicy lemon zest, ripe pear and white peach, followed by a soft wave of tropical fruit - think mango and ripe golden kiwi. Delicate notes of jasmine and honeysuckle float through the palate, while a subtle mineral streak keeps it clean, dry and beautifully focused. Bright acidity and a light, breezy body make it seriously easy to drink, with just a delicate touch of almond on the finish. It's no wonder one glass somehow turns into two!

Origin: Italy. Mainly Grown In: Southern Italy, especially in Campania, where volcanic soils and sea breezes give it serious character. Key Facts: Falanghina is one of southern Italy’s ancient treasures, with roots stretching back to Roman times (they clearly had good taste). It thrives in warm Mediterranean sunshine but keeps a naturally bright acidity that makes the wines feel fresh and lively. Expect vibrant flavours of citrus, ripe pear and white peach, often layered with hints of orange blossom and a subtle almond note on the finish. In coastal areas, there’s sometimes a gentle salty twist that makes you think of sunshine and sea spray in the best possible way. It’s aromatic, refreshing and effortlessly charming - the kind of white that feels equally at home at a long lunch or a sunset aperitivo. Fun Fact: Some believe Falanghina’s name comes from “falangae,” the Latin word for stakes, referring to the ancient method of training the vines. So yes, it’s been stylishly supported for over two thousand years. Ancient grape, modern glow-up.

Pairing guide
With its zingy citrus and refreshing acidity, this Falanghina blend is made for easy-going Mediterranean plates. Try it with chargrilled veg drizzled in olive oil and lemon, crispy courgette fries, or a simple herb pasta finished with crunchy toasted breadcrumbs. For a vegan match, go for a lemony chickpea and artichoke pasta: gently fry garlic and chilli in olive oil, toss in chickpeas and artichokes, loosen with a splash of pasta water, then finish with fresh lemon zest, juice and a handful of parsley. The wine’s citrus and stone fruit brightness lifts the flavours, while its floral and stony notes keep every bite feeling fresh and balanced.

Wine region
Puglia, Italy
Puglia is a wine region in the "heel" of Italy that is known for its red, white, and rosé wines. The full-bodied red wines are often made with Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes, while the whites are usually made with Verdeca and Fiano grapes. Puglia has a hot, sunny climate which helps the grapes ripen fully and gives the wines a rich flavour. The region is also home to some unique grape varieties, like Nero di Troia and Bombino Nero. So, if you're a fan of Italian wine, definitely give Puglia a try! Historically Puglia has been better known for its quantity of wine over its quality. But thanks to a number of quality-focused producers, the region is turning that narrative around.
