Not to be confused with Garnacha (aka. Grenache) Garnacha Tintorera is a hybrid variety, giving us a wild, colourful and so utterly weird grape known for the bizarre pigmentation of its pulp. You may have heard of it as Alicante Bouschet. It's the same grape, from a different place. Think of it as the juicy, inky 'blood plum' of the wine world, and, when in the purple-stained hands of Tintoralba's winemakers, continues to prove its significant worth and potential for the 'OG' fleshy reds of Almansa.
