Details
This is a classic Chilean Pinot Noir, with a lovely earthy tone from top to bottom, layered with red and black cherry fruit. We also loved the subtle coffee, mocha character that presents itself after a bit of time in the glass. Bold, chunky and ripe, for Pinot Noir.
Origin: Burgundy, France. Mainly Grown In: France, Germany, USA, NZ, Italy, Australia, Chile. Key Facts: As a wine drinker, Pinot Noir is one smooth-talking charmer; silken texture, soft tannins, juicy acidity and as light in colour as it is on its feet. It does have a reputation however as a challenging grape to grow - it's very picky about where it is planted and can be tricky to get right. But the toil of growing it is always worth it in the end! Nothing quite compares to the splendour of Pinot Noir — packed with flavours of strawberry, warm baking spices and elegant earthiness. Think of Pinot Noir as the diva of the wine world - like Mariah Carey - if you don't keep it happy, it's a nightmare, but if you get it right, it is amazing! More is never enough. Fun Fact: The name "Pinot" first appeared in print in 1375.

Pairing guide
If you’re on the hunt for a food-friendly red wine that’s perfect for a celebration dinner, then this Pinot Noir definitely ticks all the right boxes. We reckon it’s a top match for festive roast duck dishes, rack of lamb with minted potatoes and gravy, roast poultry dishes and joints of ham or gammon, and it’s also going to be superb with veggie alternatives like nut roast, mushroom wellington, and butternut squash loaf, too. Beef, lamb, chicken or pork stews and casseroles, whole sides of roast salmon with red peppers and tomatoes, and anything with mushrooms and herbs like rosemary and thyme will also be excellent.
