Details
Screen Door Pinot Noir swings open with a fragrant welcome party of cranberry, pomegranate, and black cherry, all dusted in white pepper. Stick your nose in and it’s giving cinnamon heat, chocolate-dipped cherries, a touch of aniseed swagger, and just enough black liquorice to keep things mysterious (like a noir film, but fruity). On the palate, it's smooth silky tannins, with a perfect pinch of acidity that keeps it all snappy and fresh.

Some wineries chase scores. Screen Door Cellars? They chase vibes. Born from the laid-back, porch-swing soul of Bobby Donnell’s Texas upbringing, this label is a tribute to the golden hour - those long evenings with friends, good food, and a bottle you don’t need a tuxedo to open. Bobby’s philosophy is simple but radical in a world of swirl-sniff-snobbery: it’s not just about what’s in the glass, but who’s holding it with you. Screen Door wines are made to be shared - preferably while telling stories, dodging mosquitoes, and arguing about who makes the best BBQ sauce. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the stars here, but they’re not uptight. They’re complex, yes - but with charm, grace, and a little swagger. After a few years of crafting some seriously delicious small-batch wines, Bobby shifted gears to focus on other projects - until a couple of friends gave him a nudge and said, "Come on, let’s bring Screen Door back!" So Screen Door Cellars got a fresh new chapter, still rooted in Bobby’s love for soulful, easygoing wines and working with growers who really know their stuff. The result? Bottles that are both thoughtful and super drinkable - the kind you can open for a fancy dinner or just a chill night with friends. The 2021 Chardonnay has already found its way onto some pretty impressive wine lists, and the much-loved Russian River Pinot Noir is officially back, bringing all the cozy, front-porch vibes with it.

Pairing guide
When it comes to food-friendly reds, Pinot Noir is the dinner party MVP. Screen Door Pinot’s silky texture and bright, juicy fruit make it a dream with everything from crispy-skinned roast chicken to a steak topped with gorgonzola butter (trust us, it slaps). Got veggies? It’s magic with roast beetroot, sweet potato wedges, or a mushroom and lentil shepherd’s pie. Feeling a bit fancy? Try it with duck breast glazed in cherry balsamic, or go full comfort mode with a slow-cooked tomato and aubergine pasta bake. Heck, even your leftover curry or that one-pot chicken with herby dumplings will thank you for cracking this bottle.
