Details
This stunner spends nine days on its skins before fermentation in oak barrels for nine months. This is wonderfully floral, with notes of fresh-cut grass, gunsmoke and flint. A leading natural wine from the UK.

It's no secret that the UK wine industry is going from strength to strength. How a while now, the Brits have been crafting exceptional sparkling wine that can rub shoulders with the best of the Champagnes out there. More recently we have started to see the bar being raised on the still wine front as well, and it is thanks to creative, exciting producers like Saddle Goose, which is a craft, boutique winery operating out of Kent, sourcing fruit largely from Essex and making some of the most exciting still and sparkling wines in the UK right now. Ancestral winemaking practices are employed here with a natural approach and the team at Saddle Goose is constantly pushing the boundaries of perception and quality of English fruit. These are exciting, avant guard wines that are a must-try for anybody who likes their wines on the natural side of life.

Pairing guide
If you’re yet to fall in love with the various charms of the Bacchus variety, you’re late to the party. This beautiful orange wine explores its potential as a top-tier skin contact grape, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. As for food pairing, it’s an excellent choice for Creole and Cajun flavours, barbecued chicken and blackened salmon, as well as for heftier salads of buckwheat, couscous, pearl barley and other grains. Sweet and savoury dishes - like monkfish with mango, or pork and apple - will work very nicely, and it’s also great with curried fish, sweet potato, pumpkin and swede.
