Details
We all know that Grenache makes fab rosé, and it even hits hard in Greece too! This is beautifully pale and super attractive to anyone who finds themselves drinking provençal pinks. Red fruit dominates, but subtly, with a lovely whiff of smoke and green character.

Panagiotopoulos Winery, located in the picturesque Peloponnese region of Greece, is a family-owned estate with deep roots in winemaking tradition. The winery's history began with the Panagiotopoulos family’s passion for viticulture, which spans several generations. Today, they are recognised for their dedication to producing high-quality, organic wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Their winemaking philosophy revolves around sustainability and classical approaches. The family believes in allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine through by avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals. This approach results in wines that truly express the essence of the local environment. Panagiotopoulos Winery focuses on native Greek grape varieties, including Agiorgitiko and Malagousia, as well as international ones like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Through careful cultivation and innovative winemaking techniques, they produce wines that balance tradition with modernity, showcasing the richness and diversity of Peloponnese terroir.

Pairing guide
A chilled bottle of Greek rosé wine is the perfect choice for when you’re feeling a little nostalgic for the sunny weather, although we’d argue this bright and refreshing bottle from Panagiotopoulous winery is a brilliant one to crack open all year round. If you’re on the hunt for ideal food pairings for this release, we’d recommend a warm lamb salad, a Greek salad of feta, tomatoes and black olives, or simple pasta dishes with crispy bacon and the best olive oil you can get your hands on. Spicy grilled chicken will work well, as will tuna salads, salmon steaks or turkey meatballs with a tomato sauce.
