Details
This sumptuous white blend combines Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and Grenache Gris. Expect wonderfully sweet notes of yellow stone fruit on the nose - plenty of ripeness with some honey to boot. In the mouth, this wine is like a creamy, waxy duvet of funk and character, with subtle notes of quince and a slightly herbal accent. Lo-fi, minimal, delicious.

Both Olivier Pithon and his brother Jo (now a wine grower) were introduced to wine at a very young age in the Loire Valley’s Anjou sub-region, after spending valuable vineyard time with their grandfather. The pair have been working in vineyards since they were around 14 years old, and whilst Jo has stayed loyal to his roots – raising a vineyard in Coteaux du Layon – Olivier moved to Bordeaux to develop his winemaking acumen. Following that, Olivier has also gained key experience in Jurançon and Beaujolais. Since 2010 Olivier has worked tirelessly and successfully according to biodynamic principles thanks in part to Jacques Mell (a leading biodynamics advisor) and carefully follows this school of thought. He is particularly devoted not just to the winemaking side of biodynamics, but perhaps more to the diversity it promotes within his vineyards. Pithon rears sheep, beehives and cows, all of which are welcome on his land. Oh, and his wines are pretty natural and pretty darn delicious! This sumptuous white blend combines Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and Grenache Gris. Expect wonderfully sweet, tropical notes and stone fruit on the nose - plenty of ripeness. In the mouth, this wine is like a creamy, waxy duvet of funk and character, with subtle notes of quince and a slightly herbal accent. Lo-fi, minimal, delicious.

Pairing guide
We just know you’re going to fall for this Grenache Blanc the same way we did, as it offers mountains of charm alongside those beautiful flavours and aromatic qualities. When it comes to food pairing, we always enjoy this wine style alongside heartier fish dishes - tuna, roast side of salmon, hake in a creamy sauce, cod cheeks, etc - as well as with risottos, paellas and pilafs, green vegetable dishes, and salads featuring delicious combos of scallop and black pudding. Yum!
