Details
Here we have an aromatic overload with Cinsault and Syrah, both being very expressive varieties, along with the grapes for this wine being picked on fruit days, the biodynamic way of maximising fruit expression. The result is a red wine with layers of strawberries and raspberries, with a luscious body and layers of cooking spices to add some depth.

Olivier Villaneuva is the man behind Mas Onésime, a winery based in Cabrerolles, in the heart of Languedoc wine territory. The winery was established by his grandfather in 1920, post WW1, and Olivier is the third generation to run the family business. Olivier sunk his teeth into the winemaking caper with the traditional (and fun) path of working in wineries around the world before taking over from his father. Their winery is close to the historic city of Nîmes, where Roman heritage and Mediterranean energy collide. The estate takes its name from Saint Onesimus, the patron saint of Nîmes. Olivier and the team at Mas Onésime focus on vineyard management and are completely organic, and they are also converting to complete Biodynamic principles across the entire estate. They have two core ranges of wines: the L'Insoumis and Jour Fruit wines, as well as some wines with limited production. Expect wines with plenty of character, featuring a classic selection of varietals, from Grenache and Cinsault to Marsanne and Roussanne.

Juicy, vibrant, and effortlessly drinkable, Mas Onésime ‘Jour Fruit’ Cinsault Blend bursts with bright red berries, gentle spice, and a soft, silky finish. Its light-to-medium body and lively freshness make it a versatile partner for a wide range of dishes. Pair it with grilled chicken, lamb skewers, or Mediterranean favourites like ratatouille and tomato-based pasta. It also works beautifully with charcuterie, roasted vegetables, or a simple mushroom tart. For relaxed dining, try it slightly chilled with pizza, tapas, or a platter of cured meats and cheeses. A bright, fruit-driven southern French red made for easy meals and good company.
