Details
The ‘Les Baradaux’ Minervois edition is spot on for those who love a Grenache blend from Languedoc. This is classical Minervois with deep structure, a nice mix of dark plums and spicy, herbal tones that finishes with plenty of tannin and earthy grip.
The French wine scene can be somewhat of a minefield at times, all we really want is a supplier that makes wines from all across the country while still displaying regional and sub-regional typicity.. Simple right?!? Well, enter Maison Johanès Boubée which is a winery that has succeeded in the French landscape, while relatively unknown outside its borders. The winery has access to all the goodies around the country and aside from an impressive winemaking team, it also has employed sommeliers to taste each wine to confirm it meets that all important terroir feel of each region. The winery is a nod to the old-school way, where you didn’t need to boast a fancy label to sell a bottle of wine and the juice inside is the most important part. We have tasted through a large range of their wines and are very impressed with the overall quality in each bottle. The ‘Les Baradaux’ range focuses on red wines from the core Languedoc wine regions.

Pairing guide
Of all the classic red wine blends in the world, few can hold a candle to the inimitable GSM combo we all know and love. This beautiful bottle from Les Baradaux is the ideal pairing for autumn and winter feasts with root vegetables, squash, pumpkin and sweet potato, roasted with olive oil, salt and plenty of rosemary and thyme. Bacon and other cured pork products, fattier steaks like sirloin, cheese-stuffed mushrooms and pasta dishes with lamb or beef mince, red peppers and slow-cooked tomatoes would also work perfectly with this one.
