Details
If you like your Pinot on the slightly jammier, ripe side of life then this will be right up your street. Layers of red and black fruit density sing from top to bottom, with real ripeness, which could be mistaken for sweetness. A lovely example of warmer climate Pinot.
Nestled in the heart of the Pays d'Oc, Les Mougeottes has been making waves in the wine world. With roots that dig deep into the region's rich history, this winery has been bottling the essence of this unique terroir for generations. The winery's story is one of passion, perseverance, and of course, fantastic wine! The sun-kissed vineyards of Les Mougeottes are lovingly tended, with each grape variety getting its own special treatment. The result? Wines that are as distinct and diverse as the region itself. But what truly sets Les Mougeottes apart is its commitment to preserving the natural beauty and integrity of the Pays d'Oc. Through sustainable viticulture practices, Les Mougeottes ensures that every bottle not only brings joy to the palate but also contributes to the health of the land it comes from.

Pairing guide
It’s impossible not to be somewhat seduced by the charm and elegance of this silky red wine from Les Mougeottes. It’s the quintessential modern Pinot Noir, and as such, it’s hard to imagine a more food-friendly red wine for delicious homemade dishes made from a wide range of ingredients. We reckon it’s best served with leaner red meats like venison steaks or fillet of beef, but you’d get equally good results pairing this wine with vegetarian dishes packing in ingredients like beetroot, walnuts, red cabbage and garlic. It’s also excellent with tomato-based pasta sauces and hearty fare like cottage pie, sausage casserole and sticky Chinese ribs. Yum!

Wine region

Pays d'Oc, France
Pays d'Oc is a wine region located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. It is known for producing a wide variety of wine styles, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines. The region has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, which allows for the production of full-bodied red wines made from grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan. Pays d'Oc also produces aromatic white wines made from grape varieties such as Viognier and Chardonnay, as well as crisp rosé wines made from Grenache and Cinsault. The region is known for its innovative winemaking techniques and is home to a number of small, artisanal wineries but is also one of France's most important regions in terms of its output.
