Details
This wine sees Grenache, Syrah and Rolle (Vermentino) in the mix. A more powerful expression of a Provençal pink, this beauty displays lots of candied, ripe red berry fruit, with muscle and roundness in the mouth. A delightful rosé, with a greater focus on primary fruit than many of its counterparts.
Domaine Le Loup Bleu is now under the stewardship of Marc Dubois, a former airline pilot who decided to purchase the estate with his wife in 2003 and all of its nine hectares of holdings where they farm organically. The team work with Provence's flagship grape varieties, but has also interestingly planted Clairette to offer up something different to their portfolio of red wines. From their first vintage, Marc and Sylvie have impressed. Not only do their wines show great potential, but Sylvie has also opened up the Domaine to visitors wishing to partake in pottery classes and painting exhibitions. Le Loup Bleu translates to the 'Blue Wolf' and is a homage to the wolves that roam around Sainte-Victoire and the nearby village of Puyloubier. However they are not blue, this reference to Marc's tip of the hat to the blue skies and proximity to the ocean and the influence that both have on in his vineyards and thus, his wines.

Pairing guide
There’s a reason why Provence rosé wines enjoy such a lofty reputation, and it’s a reason perfectly displayed by this beautiful bottle from Le Loupe Bleu. Notes of pink grapefruit and fennel make this a wonderful wine to pair with zesty salads and fish dishes, and it’s also very much at home with poached or grilled chicken breast, seafood soups and stews, and herb-based salads with smoked salmon or a citrus dressing. Seafood risotto, vegetable pasta dishes, jewelled couscous and pink duck breast will be wonderful, and it’s also excellent with green olive tapenade and salty cheeses and charcuterie.

Wine region

Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
