Details
The Huella team have crafted a rosé from the noble Pinot Noir variety that is very much suited to the Casablanca Valley, where the grapes were sourced from. This is a lovely red fruited rosé with plenty of strawberry, cranberry and raspberry notes offset by a creamy mid-palate and a fresh breeze of acidity.
Viña Indómita is located in the heart of Chile wine country, with their winery located in the wine region of Casablanca as well as owning vineyards in the Central Valley region of Maipo. Casablanca is located in between Valparaiso and Santiago with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, where you will find plenty of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir planted in this maritime dream. The Central Valley, by comparison, is a garden of Eden, with fertile soils perfect for producing a wide range of fruit and vegetables to feed the nation as well as supplying plenty of land ideal for vineyards. Viña Indómita have several labels and GPD are keen to introduce you to their Huella range where they focus on local varieties like Carménère as well as all the usual suspects from Sauvignon Blanc to Merlot. The winery is relatively new to the game, however that hasn’t stopped them focusing on tourism and wine tastings in the region.

Pairing guide
Crafted from the spectacular fruit grown in Chile’s Casablanca Valley, this gorgeous rosé is sure to satisfy the senses with its crisp, sunny flavour and food pairing potential. We loved it with aromatic Asian dishes - everything from prawn pad Thai to salt and pepper chicken, Sichuan fish and jungle curry will hit the spot very well indeed. It’s also excellent with barbecued lamb chops, grilled pork sausages, spicy prawns and roast side of salmon with Mediterranean vegetables, as well as with tomato-based pasta sauces and seafood favourites like spaghetti vongole and scallops with chorizo. Yum!
