Details
Malbec has long found a home in South America, and the 'Gran Reserva' is a classic example of great fruit, with the winemaking team adding their own touches. There is spice and mocha notes from the first sip, and behind these layers, there is a vein of black fruit which add richness and weight to this wine.
Viña Indómita is located in the heart of Chile wine country, with their winery located in the wine region of Casablanca as well as owning vineyards in the Central Valley region of Maipo. Casablanca is located in between Valparaiso and Santiago with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, where you will find plenty of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir planted in this maritime dream. The Central Valley, by comparison, is a garden of Eden, with fertile soils perfect for producing a wide range of fruit and vegetables to feed the nation as well as supplying plenty of land ideal for vineyards. Viña Indómita have several labels and GPD are keen to introduce you to their Huella range where they focus on local varieties like Carménère as well as all the usual suspects from Sauvignon Blanc to Merlot. The winery is relatively new to the game, however that hasn’t stopped them focusing on tourism and wine tastings in the region.

Pairing guide
Deep, plush, and fruit-forward, this Gran Reserva Malbec brims with blackberry, plum, and a touch of spice, all wrapped in velvety tannins. Its richness makes it a brilliant companion for grilled meats—think ribeye steak, lamb cutlets, or BBQ ribs. It also works beautifully with hearty stews, slow-braised beef cheeks, or game meats like venison. For a vegetarian option, try it with mushroom risotto, lentil casserole, or roasted root vegetables with rosemary. Cheeses like blue cheese, manchego, or sharp cheddar bring out its depth, while for something casual, pizza with spicy sausage or a stacked burger is a perfect match.
