Details
Made from 100% Sumoll, this is an orange-tinged rosé wine with plenty of oxidative character. It's gastronomic, with smoky notes and hints of fino sherry, salt and orange peel. Thought-provoking and well worth a try for anybody looking for something a little different.
Heretat Mascorrubí is a pretty lo-fi outfit operating at altitude out of Spain's Catalonia province in Penedès. The team's unwavering focus on local grape varieties and relatively natural winemaking have made them a seriously popular go-to locally, and we are delighted to bring their wines here to the UK finally. Exclusive to Good Pair Days, Heretat Mascorrubí focuses on the local varietal Montònega, which is related to Parellada (best known for its application in Cava), as well as the extremely rare Sumoll Blanc, and (red) Sumoll, which is prolific in the region. These are wines full of personality and character, each bottle telling a story of the team's focus and approach to champion the very best vinous virtues of their region.

Pairing guide
Crafted from the little-known Sumoll variety, this beautiful rosé is as elegant as it is bright, crisp and gorgeously vibrant. All that acidity calls for food pairings with a balance of sweetness and saltiness - we’re talking turkey with cranberry sauce, courgette and cherry salads, or couscous dishes with nuts and dried fruits. Salmon and tuna steaks will work well, and it’s also excellent with California rolls, crab cakes, and Caribbean saltfish fritters. It’s also excellent with simple pasta dishes like aglio e olio, or anything with plenty of parmesan. Yes please!
