During his ten years in the role, he built up a network of vignerons in the vineyards of the Rhône Valley, Provence and Languedoc, realising that nurturing relationships was fundamental to establishing a solid business. In 2012 Maison François-Xavier Nicolas was founded with the release of two Côtes du Rhône wines. Since then François-Xavier has produced wines from many appellations including Gigondas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Cairanne; Languedoc and Provence, and strives to design wines that reflect his ethics and convictions, where the vines are managed with respect for the environment.
