Details
A lovely spicy Aussie Shiraz right here with a very cool label from one of Australia's best regions for Shiraz: McLaren Vale. Plenty of dark black fruit is on offer here, with a welcome green peppercorn austerity lending an attractive backbone to the wine. The finish is loaded with blueberry fruit and a drop of milky chocolate.
Nicholas Crampton and his wife Frances set-up Fourth Wave in 2009 with the aim of bringing a whole new level of humour to the Australian wine scene. The duo are careful to only source fruit from small, quality driven growers from across South Australia. Fourth Wave represent some of Australias most dynamic and modern wine brands, combining exciting and engaging concepts with a dedication to high quality winemaking. The diversity of their portfolio is vast and not just limited to Australia; they work with a plethora of grape varieties from Albariño, to Côtes du Rhône, Champagne, zero alcohol wines and now are working with wines in can. It is safe to say the Fourth Wave cover all of the bases and their 'No Evil' and 'Take it to the Grave' ranges are new to the UK. They combine awesome labels with excellent, smart winemaking thanks, in part to their partnership with Carey Ryan formerly of New Zealand's Villa Maria.

Pairing guide
When it comes to big, bold flavours and food-friendly versatility, you can’t really beat a great bottle of Shiraz. This beautiful red from Fourth Wave Wines is a fantastic choice for char-grilled and barbecued meats, and will work especially well with ribs, homemade burgers, duck, and lamb chops. Bean and lentil dishes - ranging from vegetarian chilli to soups, casseroles, and curries - are also highly recommended, and you’ll get equally good results with steak and chips, aubergine parmigiana, and anything with punchy blue cheese. Nice!
