Pairing guide
We love a good bottle of Cava, and this deliciously dry release from Emendis Puigmolto is right up there with the best of them. When it comes to pairing food with Cava, you really can’t go wrong with pesto classics: Andalusian chicken sharers, patatas bravas, morcilla or black pudding bites, garlic and chilli prawns, tortillas… all are going to hit the spot perfectly. We also loved this one with homemade olive tapenade, arancini and marinated artichokes. Fantastic!

Wine region
Cava, Spain
Cava is a sparkling wine that originates from Catalonia, Spain. Cava is made using the traditional method, which involves a second fermentation in the bottle to create its distinctive fizz. The wine is typically made from a blend of indigenous Spanish grape varieties, such as Macabeu, Parellada, and Xarel-lo, and can also include Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Cava can range in style from dry and crisp to sweeter, dessert-style wines, and is often enjoyed as an aperitif or served alongside seafood and other light dishes. With its refreshing bubbles and affordable price point, Cava has become a popular alternative to more expensive sparkling wines like Champagne.
