Details
This very drinkable organic Pét Nat from Punctum is absolutely delicious! We have flavours of baked apples and grapefruit with an attractive, enticing orange peel character across the nose and palate. This is a salty wine - in the best of ways - with more grapefruit in the mouth leading to a crisp, tangy finish.

Dominio de Punctum is one of Spain's largest producers of organic and biodynamic wines. This family-owned company was founded by siblings Jesús, Ruth and Cristina who in 2005 realised their dream of producing quality sustainable wines when their winery was finally built. It is safe to say that these guys have worked miracles in the biodynamic sector in a relatively short space of time. Punctum cultivates a vast number of grape varieties, from the Spanish usual suspects' Tempranillo; Garnacha (Grenache) Verdejo and Macabeo (Viura), to more international grape types such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Building on its organic and biodynamic principles, Punctum is also working toward becoming a net-zero outfit. They are keen to focus on their energy output within the winery and are rethinking their packaging in favour of more lightweight alternatives. They are also heavily involved in a number of reforestation projects as well as recycling 100% of their water usage... oh, and their wines aren't too shabby either!

Hailing from Spain’s central plateau of La Mancha, this effortlessly delicious sparkler is going to be a real hit at the dining table this festive season. It’s a great wine for pairing with nibbles, canapes and finger foods - especially those which are fried or made with warming Indian spices - and it’s also a top choice pairing with raw oysters, caviar blinis, dishes bringing together chicken or pork with tropical fruits, and all kinds of fritters and tempura creations.

Wine region
Castilla-La Mancha, Spain
La Mancha is a wine region in Spain known for its hot and dry climate, high altitude vineyards, and significant grape production the top sub-regions are Almansa, Jumilla, and Manchuela, each with its own unique wine styles. The terroir across these regions can be characterized by the high chalk content of its soil, which helps to retain moisture during the arid summers. The top wine styles produced in La Mancha are primarily red wines made from the Tempranillo grape, including the well-known Crianza and the top tier Reserva styles, as well as Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. However, the region also produces some white wines made from the fruity Airen grape, which is a native varietal of La Mancha and one of the most widely planted white grape varieties in the world.
