Details
The sensational Côtes de Provence from Pinchinat is laden with ripe, candied strawberry and pear fruit on the nose and delivers richness and weight on the palate. This is a really gastronomic number, with a depth of flavour and a welcome bitter twang on the finish that holds everything together effortlessly. Delicious.

Alain de Welle overseas operations at Domaine Pinchinat in France's beautiful region of Provence and the estate has been independently owned by the same family for over two centuries. Here the team tends to around 75 acres of vineyards, organically crafting red, white and rosé wine styles. The team has a significant focus on regenerative agriculture and has taken great care to respect and uphold the balance of nature across their domaine since their official certification and conversion to organics in 1990 - this practice includes only natural applications of herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard. You can expect the usual Provençal suspects that furnish Pinchinat's vineyards; Rolle (aka Vermentino) and Clairette for the white plantings, as well as Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. You will even find some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon making their way into some of the Pinchinat's wines, delivering characteristic structure to their impressive reds.

Pairing guide
With its beautiful pale pink colour and brisk freshness, this gorgeous bottle from Domaine Pinichat is a quintessential Provence rosé. As such, it’s a stunning pairing for all kinds of fish and seafood dishes, especially seafood soups and stews. Salmon en croute and other fish pastry recipes will work very well, as will grilled chicken breast, pork sausages, charcuterie dishes, and anything with anchovies, olives and feta.

Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
